Zeya Azmi

Educational Supervisor Grades 3 & 4

With over two decades of experience in the GEMS Education , Zeya Azmi brings a wealth of knowledge, commitment, and expertise to her role as Supervisor for Grades 3 and 4 at GEMS Millennium School, Sharjah. She holds a Master’s Degree in History and a Bachelor of Education from the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University, India.

Ms. Zeya began her teaching journey as a Kindergarten teacher at Our Own English High School, Sharjah, and has since grown into a respected leader in the GEMS community. Her unwavering dedication to educational excellence was recognised when she was honoured with the Best Teacher Award at Our Own English High School, Al Warqa’a, in 2013–2014.

A passionate advocate for student-centered learning, Ms. Zeya fosters an environment that encourages independence, collaboration, and critical thinking among students. She believes in nurturing every child’s potential by creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.

Ms. Zeya is known for her innovative teaching strategies, strong leadership skills, and her ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues alike. She actively promotes inquiry-based learning and consistently works to integrate 21st-century skills into the curriculum.

A lifelong learner herself, Ms. Zeya regularly engages in professional development initiatives and contributes meaningfully to school improvement planning. Her approachable nature, combined with her deep understanding of primary education, makes her an integral part of the school’s leadership team.
